Okay, first I need to get something off my chest.

JUST BECAUSE MY R/S STATUS ON FACEBOOK IS 'ENGAGED' DOES NOT MEAN THAT I AM GETTING MARRIED.

Okay, sorry I'm trying not to make this a big deal but what started off as a joke really makes me hit my head on my desk everytime people actually believe it. I mean I know a ton of people who are really close to their partners and happily put so and so engaged to so and so, I just don't get why mine is such an exception. I'm not the type of person to get engaged at 18. Its just not in my nature.

I leave it up, however, because I'm very proud of where spence and I are now. Saying that we're very close is an understatement, and I count myself lucky to have found someone like him. He's very special to me. Lets leave it at that. So if you wanna congratulate me on my engagement, instead congratulate me on being in a very happy r/s, or being a happy Ofspong (heehee).

I'm not pointing fingers in this case (and honestly I do find it quite funny at times), but I just wanted to make it clear so I can stop the whole "Is Liang Engaged" question. Its become much bigger than I expected. If you thought it was just people talking on facebook, you'd be surprised. It actually created a bit of commotion amongst my sisters when my eldest sis B was congratulated on "her sister's marraige", and she got frustrated and went to confront my other sis J while she was on vacation.

Imagine this phonecall:

J: Hello?
B: Hello! Eh... how are you!
J: Ehhh I'm alright?
B: You... you sure? Has anything... happened?
J: ... no?
B: ...
J: Is everything okay?
B: .... ARE YOU ENGAGED!
J: WHAT. NO.



Yep. That's what happened. And it continues...

J: When A said "your sister", did she mean Liang Hwei?
B: WHAT. NO WAY. Why would she be engaged????
J: I don't know.


And it got traced down to me. Funny, but a little duhhhh.
Yay, case closed.


Somehow I didn't expect this from a before-I-fly-to-Kuala-Lumpur post. But yep! I'm all packed up (I think), and I'm gonna head to the airport in an hour! I'm a little fluish, my nose is runny and my ears are blocked, but I have no fever so they'll probably let me leave the country. Heehee.

Suddenly I wish I could take a leaf out of steph's book and SLACK my holidays away. It definitely makes me less stressed about the impending (ugh). Holidays are good.
